{"id":878,"date":"2026-08-30T20:45:49","date_gmt":"2026-08-30T18:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/?p=878"},"modified":"2026-08-30T23:16:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-30T21:16:44","slug":"business-negotiations-a-tighter-timeline-for-certain-supply-agreements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/index.php\/en\/2026\/08\/30\/business-negotiations-a-tighter-timeline-for-certain-supply-agreements\/","title":{"rendered":"Business negotiations: a tighter timeline for certain supply agreements"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The French Agricultural Emergency Act of 18 August 2026, which entered into force on 20 August, has significantly brought forward this year\u2019s negotiation timetable for certain suppliers (Article 54 of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legifrance.gouv.fr\/jorf\/id\/JORFTEXT000054707007\">Act No. 2026-796 of 18 August 2026 on the Protection and Sovereignty of Agriculture<\/a>).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two Deadlines for Annual Supply Agreements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on the supplier\u2019s worldwide turnover excluding VAT (consolidated or combined, based on the most recent completed financial year), two distinct timetables now apply to the annual supply agreement (or framework agreement supplemented by implementing agreements).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Regardless of the products concerned, the agreement must be signed by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>31 January 2027<\/strong> where the supplier\u2019s group turnover is <strong>below \u20ac350 million<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>1 March 2027<\/strong> where the supplier\u2019s group turnover is <strong>\u20ac350 million or more<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unchanged Timetable for the Communication of General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Where the products include <strong>fast-moving consumer goods (FMCGs)<\/strong>, food products or pet food products, suppliers must continue to provide their <strong>General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS)<\/strong> no later than <strong>1 December 2026<\/strong>, regardless of their turnover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">For all other products, the GTCS must still be communicated within a reasonable timeframe to allow compliance with the applicable deadline for signing the agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"478\" src=\"http:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Delai-convention-unique-EN-2-1024x478.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-699\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Delai-convention-unique-EN-2-1024x478.png 1024w, https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Delai-convention-unique-EN-2-300x140.png 300w, https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Delai-convention-unique-EN-2-767x358.png 767w, https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Delai-convention-unique-EN-2-1536x717.png 1536w, https:\/\/sanz-avocat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Delai-convention-unique-EN-2-2048x956.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Published on 30.08.2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The French Agricultural Emergency Act of 18 August 2026, which entered into force on 20 August, has significantly brought forward this year\u2019s negotiation timetable for certain suppliers (Article 54 of Act No. 2026-796 of 18 August 2026 on the Protection and Sovereignty of Agriculture).
